Goat hair & an offering

“And all the women whose hearts stirred with wisdom spun yarn of goats’ hair.” –Exodus 35:26 NKJV 

You must read this in context of what was taking place. They were bringing offerings for the construction of the tabernacle of the Lord. These offerings were all sacrificial offerings devoted to the worship of God.

All those whose hearts stirred with wisdom, set other things aside, other activity, other agendas, other obligations… In order to bring a sacrificial offering to the Lord. This makes me think of the five wise virgins, and the five foolish virgins. The five foolish just continued on with their own plans, their own agendas, doing what they thought was right in their own eyes. The five wise virgins set aside other things , in order to honor the Lord, to serve him and to bring an offering before Him

Lord, I want to be stirred with wisdom. I covenant together with You, and commit myself to daily set aside other things, agendas, activities… In order to bring an offering of love, praise, and devotion to You.
