Jesus Forgives You

by | Sep 21, 2022

Recently, in prayer I asked the Lord what He wanted me to tell people right now. His response was immediate. I didn’t hear an audible voice, but a crystal clear message in my spirit was undeniable, “Tell them Jesus forgives them.” Do you believe that? It’s true. Jesus forgives you when you come to Him with a sincere heart of humility and repentance. He forgives you fully and completely. He separates your sins from you as far as the East is from the West (Psalm 103:12).

Today I sensed again that someone needs to read this and be reminded that Jesus forgives you. Others may not forgive you. You may have a hard time forgiving yourself. Yet, He wants you to know that He forgives you. Satan comes to accuse, condemn and harass you over your past sins, failures and mistakes. Jesus comes to forgive you, cleanse you and set your free.

Colossians 2:13 explains well our former state and our present reality, “…we were held in sin’s grasp. But now, we’ve been resurrected out of that ‘realm of death’ never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins”

Through Jesus Christ, and through His death, burial and resurrection, we have been made alive. Our sinful carnal nature drove us to commit horrible sins. But we were made alive with Christ, and He has cut away the sinful desires within us, and made us alive together with Him to walk in newness of life. Our sins are forgiven, completely, and totally wiped away, washed away by the precious blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is finished.

Now we can say “no” to sin and to all guilt, shame, and condemnation over our past. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, we have been made clean. And it is written, “…What God has cleansed and pronounced clean, do not you defile and profane by regarding and calling common and unhallowed or unclean” Acts 10:19.

All those who have believed in Jesus Christ, and made Him Lord and Savior, are free. And He whom the son sets free is free, indeed. Do not return to a yoke of slavery that brings you under guilt, shame and condemnation. His blood is more than enough. Receive His forgiveness and walk in his freedom.

I have marveled many times over the fact that when a paralytic was brought to Jesus, the first thing He said was “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you” Matthew 9:2. The guy was brought to Jesus for healing. Yet, Jesus knew his deeper need was to know that his sins could be forgiven. Maybe that is exactly where you are today. You may need a physical healing, emotional healing, relational healing, or other. Yet, the deeper need and possibly the root of your need is forgiveness. Jesus is here today with you as you read these words that He inspired me to write to you: Jesus forgives you. Receive His forgiveness today and walk in His freedom. Forgive yourself and extend forgiveness to others. When you do, you will find a whole new realm of life, joy and peace.
