Somebody do something

by | Apr 5, 2022

A.W. Tozer said it well and his words are true for us today. “You are a soldier of God. And the quicker you realize it, you will drop your toys and pick up your weapons.” This is where we are, friend. Like it or not, you are in a war and the sooner you realize that is your reality, the better off you will be. As I type these words I hear the words of the prophet in Isaiah 6:8 “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send,
And who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’ ”

With every generation that passes through this life on earth, God continues to search and seek for those who will answer the call. He continues to search for those somebodies who will stand up like Isaiah, and do something in their day and for their generation.

In 1994 a young American father took his 11-year-old daughter to Israel. He wanted her to see the country and understand this unique bond between Israel and America. He knew that there was no way she would fully understand exactly what was so unique about this country if she didn’t realize what the Jewish people had been put through and how close they were to annihilation.

He took her to Yad Vashem, the world holocaust remembrance center.
He wrestled with the reality that his young daughter would very likely be overwhelmed by the graphic nature of what she would see.
So he decided that he would take her through and if it became too much he would just lead her out.
It was arranged chronologically so the first thing you would see was how children (just like her) were first separated and isolated by having the star of David sewn onto their clothing. Not So they could be honored but so that they could ridiculed and humiliated.
The little Girl just was shocked that somebody would do this to a child. But the shock of what she continued to see intensified as they Went through the part of Yad Vashem that depicted the Warsaw ghetto and the nazi concentration camps. She saw the horrors of what was inflicted upon the Jewish people who were herded like animals into that hideous environment.

And when the little girl Came to the pictures and depictions of the artifacts from the Nazi death camps…when the little girl saw those pictures she fell silent…she just stared in disbelief as she read all the captions under each photo. When the little girl came to the end of Yad Vashem there was a guestbook where people could record the date, their name, and where they’re from. And then there was a space for comments. So she reached into her daddy’s pocket and took a pen. She started writing her name and address and then she paused for a moment her dad was looking over her shoulder to see what she might write; to see, “does she get it?” or does she really understand. As the father looked over his 11-year-old daughter’s shoulder to see what she would write she wrote five words that he would never forget: why didn’t somebody do something? That’s all she wrote and the little girl didn’t say a word for almost 4 hours but the father knew that his little girl understood very clearly what we all must come to understand as well. That father was Mike Huckabee and his little girl was Sarah Huckabee Sanders. This story impacted my life when I heard Governor Mike Huckaby share it several years ago.

Today you may not be in Israel, or at Yad Vashem, or the Holocaust Museum, but today I hope and I pray that every one of us will understand how important and how necessary it is for us ALL OF US to be: somebody who is willing to do something. Somebody must be willing to stand against hell’s wicked agenda and fight for what is right.

While you and I may not be living in Nazi Germany during the time of the holocaust; the time in which we are living is no less barbaric or wicked. We are living in a time in which Per year, 1.4 million unborn babies are aborted in the U.S., 40-60 million children (1 every half second) are aborted world-wide.
I’m thankful for every somebody who is doing something, to reach out and rescue babies and their frightened, ill-informed mothers. We can all do something to save lives, and reach out to scared, frightened young women who don’t know what else to do or where to turn.

I’d like to tell you about a modern day holy rebel warrior that I know and love deeply. Her name is Krystal Clark. God stirred up a holy rebellion in Krystal’s heart and she chose to be somebody who would do something about hell’s abortion agenda. Krystal went before The Lord to get His marching orders and today God is using her to lead a holy rebellion against Satan’s mission to abort as many babies as possible. Krystal and her husband, Pastor Rashad Clark, are leading the Embrace Grace Ministry here at Radiant Church in Colorado Springs. They reach out to frightened moms who feel hopeless, by extending God’s love and grace to them and their babies. They have already rescued several babies from hell’s plan of abortion and God is using them to bring hope to the hopeless and help to those in a time of need. God may be dealing with you right now about being somebody who is willing to do something, to help rescue a terrified mother from making the worst decision of her life. Let’s rebel against this demonic agenda of hell, to terminate these lives. Let’s pray, reach out, love, care and intervene to rescue precious lives.
Reach out to Krystal today, be a holy rebel and ask what you can do to help a mom and her child to be saved from hell’s agenda.
