I cannot live a day without this. It’s so interesting that in Revelation 1:16, John, the revelator sees a vision of Jesus, and in His right hand he holds the seven stars, and out of His mouth, comes a double edged sword.
The word of God is like a sword that has two edges that cut both ways and do terrible devastating damage to an aggressor. Ephesians 6:17 calls it, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God!
When God’s word is sewn into our hearts, as we dig into His word every day, it cuts through the lies and demolishes the false ideas that have been sewn into our hearts and minds. Then when we are in a situation where the powers of darkness are coming against us , in all different areas of life, the word of God will come alive in our heart. The Holy Spirit will bring a verse back to our remembrance, and it will be the exact word of God that is needed to defeat that enemy in that moment. When the Holy Spirit drops that word in our spirit, it is like a single edged sword, and when we rise up in faith and proclaim that word, speak that word out of our mouth, it becomes a double edged sword against our enemy. It is absolutely vitally important that we are in God’s word every day. And that we also decree, speak, proclaim, pray the word of God every day. It becomes a double edged sword when we receive it, believe it, and speak it out boldly against the agenda of hell. Praise be to God for His mighty victory, and this double edged sword! Take up your Sword of The Spirit and Rebel against hell with God’s Word every day.
