This is where we are.

This is where we are. How did we get here? Where do we go from here?

For years, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn has been warning America to repent, humble themselves, turn from their wicked ways, and pray, before it’s too late. Rabbi Cahn spoke prophetically of the striking similarity between the rebellious Israelites and today’s rebellious America. 

Like Israel, America began as a nation belonging to God and was very blessed by God, yet like the nation of Israel, America grew spiritually complacent and apathetic. America moved away from God, turning from the God who blessed us. We pushed Him out of culture, drove Him out of the public square, eliminated His truth, and have banned Him from public education.

A quote from Cahn’s book, The Harbinger, is sad but rings true. “As God was expunged from American life, idols came in to fill the void; idols of sensuality, idols of greed, of money, of success, comfort, materialism, pleasure, sexual immorality, self-worship, self-obsession. The sacred increasingly disappeared, and the profane took its place.”

God warned them (Israel) and us (America), “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil”. That word “woe” is the most severe warning that can be given. This is an urgent call to repent before it’s too late! This is a loving and gracious warning, because the consequences are dire for those who call evil good and good evil. 

America has become a nation that celebrates, propagates and mandates what God calls evil. While she condemns, cancels, and destroys what God calls good.  Sadly, much of the church in America has gone along with hell’s cultural agenda; complying with the wickedness through her silence and refusal to rebel against hell’s darkness with The Truth. 

Rabbi Cahn has righteously stated of rebellious Israel and rebellious America, that what they had always known to be holy, they now profane. Rabbi Cahn pointed out that, “Everything was now upside down. What they had once known as right, they now saw as outdated, intolerant, and immoral. And what they had once known as immoral, they now championed and celebrated as sacred. They had transformed themselves into the enemies of the God they had once worshiped, and the faith they had once followed until the very mention of His name was banned from their public squares. And yet in spite of all this, He was merciful and called to them, again and again.”

But God continued to call out to them, and He calls to us still today: TURN! REPENT! COME BACK! COME BACK! BE SAVED FROM DESTRUCTION! He sent prophets to wake God’s people up, and He called them back from the abyss, but they hardened their hearts, and the nation of Israel was brought into the first stage of judgment. This is also where we are today in America, but God is a God of mercy. We are reminded three times in Isaiah nine that even in His anger, His hand is stretched out still. “For all this, His anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this, His anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still” (Isaiah 9:12, 17).

Many are refusing to wake up and realize the hour that we are currently in. Unfortunately, many Christians today continue on with business as usual; living as if everything is as it’s always been and there is no need for them to change. Yet God, in His mercy, is sounding His alarm every day, while His people stubbornly ignore Him and continue to try to anesthetize themselves with their own agenda of personal ambition, entertainment, pleasure, and comfort. 

America is in dire trouble and distress on every front. And God is calling on His people to rise up in this hour to stand in the gap, make up the hedge and be the repairers of the breach. He has clearly stated that He will forgive us if we turn back to Him. It begins with you and me, His people, humbling ourselves before Him, seeking His face, praying, and turning from our wicked ways. 

You may be questioning why God has allowed our nation to come into this time of distress and judgement. We know from His Word that God’s anger is righteous and necessary. God is holy, just and good, and therefore, He must judge sin. Sin is the cancer that destroys people, families and nations. The cancer of sin in America has reached a critical stage and it is about to completely destroy us and bring us to our death. But His hand is stretched out still. I believe He wants to save America, and the destiny of our nation depends upon our response in this hour. 

These are extreme times that we are living in and the only right response for you and me is to be extreme disciples. We must rebel against hell’s agenda every day by crucifying our flesh and our carnal nature, and living fully surrendered to Him. Decree His Lordship over every area of your life and seek His direction as His holy rebel warrior in this battle. We must fight every day on our knees in prayer, worship and intercession. Ask The Holy Spirit to take you to the next level of prayer, worship and intercession. Join together with other passionate followers of Jesus every week! This is vitally important in these extreme times. We will not prevail and overcome if we are separated and isolated from one another. We are indeed stronger together! If you are not currently in a Connect Group, get in one this week. Extreme times require an extreme commitment to the body of Christ. The more isolated we are and disconnected from the body of Christ, the weaker we are and the less effective the army of God becomes. Together, submitted to Christ, we will overcome and He will use us to be history makers and world changers. Let’s do this together as holy rebel warriors who are rebelling against hell’s agenda with God’s weapons of righteousness, holiness and Truth.
