A Mighty Flame is Burning
Our friend Lou Engle spoke these words, “we’ve taught a generation how to feast and play, but the times demand now that we fast and pray.” No truer words have been spoken about us and about the time we are in at present. The Spirit of God continues to stir me concerning the urgency of the hour and the need to awaken the church (young & old) to be the mighty ones who burn for Him.
God is doing something special in the hearts of our kids, and that is where I feel my heart continually pulled. He is raising up an army of mighty ones whose hearts are ablaze with a holy passion for Him. The words of SOS 8:6 speak deeply of the red, hot, burning passion of those who are fully devoted to Christ. These words are the cry of my heart and the cry of every heart that longs to be consumed by Him and His holy fire.
The service at Radiant Youth last Sunday night was a night of renewed passion for Jesus. The Holy Spirit directed me to speak again on the fire of God and His burning ones. I asked the worship team to lead us in an older song, “You Won’t Relent.” The song is based on SOS chapter 8. Most of the students said they had never heard it before. After speaking on closing our hearts to every other path and choosing to pursue Jesus at a deeper level passionately, we ended with that song. I invited the students forward, who were ready to abandon themselves fully, to be His burning ones. They came to the front, and with uplifted arms, they cried out to God and loudly sang the words, “come be the fire inside of me, come be the flame upon my heart…”. The worship team and band had stopped. The song had ended. Yet the students would not stop. They kept singing the words over and over and over…with no one leading them and no music. They just kept singing the words, “you won’t relent until you have it all. My heart is yours.“ It was such a holy time. I stood there frozen and overwhelmed by their precious voices singing over and over to our Lord (without anyone leading them), “my heart is Yours…my heart is yours…”. This seemed like it could go on and on forever, like the creatures around the throne of God who never stop crying out, “holy, holy, holy…”.
God is doing something deep, and He is stirring up a fresh fire in each of His burning ones. He is compelling me now to invite each of you to be a part of this mighty move of God. Join us as we fully engage in the 21 days of prayer and fasting starting September 18th. The fast will culminate with the Communion Colorado event with Lou Engle at the World Arena on October 8th. Register now for the event at this link (LINK HERE). I challenged the students to fast media for 21 days and saturate themselves in the word of God and prayer. I am convinced that we need to encourage, challenge, and admonish our kids and our congregation to shut off all the other voices for those 21 days and tune into God‘s voice on a deeper level than ever before. We will be fasting food also, but I believe the most important thing that we can fast at this time is the media. For the boys in Babylon (Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah), it was the food from the King’s table. For the passionate followers of Christ living in a Babylonian culture today, I believe the most important thing we can fast is the media. We’ve all been taught to feast and play, but the time we are living in now demands that we fast and pray.

The Favor of God
The Favor of God The Lord was waiting on me again this morning with such a powerful word. I had to share it with you. As I walked into the prayer closet today, I was quickly reminded of psalm 23 and it was as if the Lord pulled out the chair at the table for me...
